Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes and communities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly seniors and those requiring additional care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in settings such as nursing homes, hospice care, or assisted living facilities.

Responsibilities
• Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring their safety during outings or appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Administer first aid when necessary and monitor clients’ health conditions, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events to promote social interaction.
• Assist with heavy lifting when required for client mobility or transport of equipment.

Requirements
• Previous experience in home care, senior care, nursing homes, or hospice care is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client support.
• Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain certification is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
• A valid driving licence may be required depending on client needs and location of service delivery.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50-£12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
